Just as most people have an email address, I believe that soon most people will have their own websites. Its really not that difficult to set up.

 If you have started a personal page on a social site ,building a site wont be that much different.  You will need to choose your free domain and then start creating your site. You don't really need to know html. If you've never set up a site before, I suggest WordPress. In WordPress, you start by picking a theme for your site. Then there is a dashboard where you enter your info into posts or pages. Just by plugging in your information, you will have a professional looking site that is also optimized for search engines automatically. Your web host will have support info or videos to teach you how to make a new website.

There is a lot of free content online you can use in your site.

Article sites such as EzineArticles are a good source of articles on almost any given subject.

Once your site is up and running, you may wish to make money with it. There are many ways to start a website business. Google AdSense is one method. AdSense puts small text ads on your site, related to your subject. If a visitor clicks an AdSense ad, you make money. Another way is to join affiliate agencies such as clickbank or commission junction. You put small affiliate ads on your site and if someone clicks them and makes a purchase, you get a commission. These are just some of the ways you can make money with your website.

The first step is getting your web host. Then you will have all the tools necessary to start a website. So, what are you waiting for? It just could be the best .00 you ever spent.
